Our Mission
To build a healthier, more equitable Uganda by:
- Leading national awareness and screening campaigns for NCDs such as diabetes, hypertension and cancers.
- Providing safe maternal care and economic empowerment for teenage mothers and vulnerable women.
- Integrating mental health, education, and livelihood support into every level of care.
Our Story & Impact
Alora Initiative was founded on one powerful idea that health is freedom. In Uganda, preventable diseases quietly claim lives, while women in slums struggle for safety and opportunity. Alora bridges these gaps through two flagship programs:
1.NCD Awareness Program
- Empowering communities to fight the “silent epidemic” through education, screenings and mental health support.
- Over 7,000 lives impacted through outreach and health camps.
- Partnerships with schools, corporations and churches to provide free screenings and chronic care management.
- Digital and in-person sensitization campaigns across Uganda.
- Mtoto Program
- Empowering teenage mothers and vulnerable women through safe childbirth, education and livelihood opportunities.
- Supported 5 safe deliveries, 4 school reintegrations and 35 women trained in financial literacy.
- Established women’s basketry cooperatives and micro-enterprises.
- Provided mental health sand trauma counseling for over 30 beneficiaries.
