Protecting Dignity, Preserving Integrity.

At Please Help Us (PHU), we are deeply committed to promoting ethical storytelling and dignified representation of the communities and individuals we serve. As a Christian-based charity and CSR consulting organization, our guiding principle is that every person, regardless of their circumstance, deserves respect and privacy.

Permitted Use

• Such images may only be used for internal reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes, or as part of confidential donor reports, where their inclusion is necessary.
• In every such case, images must be used with consent (or through the responsible guardian/organization), and contextually framed.

Prohibited Use

• PHU strictly prohibits the use of imagery of vulnerable persons for advertising, social media campaigns, public fundraising appeals, or promotional materials.
• We do not use images that depict poverty, illness, or suffering as a means to solicit donations or evoke emotional sympathy.

Rationale

Uphold the dignity of beneficiaries and respect their humanity.
Prevent exploitation or misrepresentation of vulnerable communities.
Maintain trust and integrity with partners, donors, and the public.
Align with PHU’s Christian values — giving should be driven by conviction, not by pity.

Implementation

All PHU staff, partners, photographers, influencers and media collaborators are required to:

  • Seek written consent before capturing or sharing any visual content.
  • Ensure that all images are reviewed by the Communications & Compliance Team prior to publication.
  • Replace imagery of individuals in distress with symbolic, abstract, or community-based visuals when communicating publicly.
