My story is like that of many others—a deep, constant desire to help. Someone. Somehow. With something.

I

was born and raised in Kajiado, Kenya, among the proud Maasai people—a community known for its deep traditions, resilience, and respect for heritage. The Maasai live close to the land, often in challenging conditions, yet they are also known for their generosity, hospitality, and unity. These values became the foundation of my life.

Raised by a single mother in a humble household, I witnessed firsthand the struggles of poverty but also the power of faith. My mother instilled in me the values of Christian giving, teaching me that even the smallest act of kindness can change someone else’s life. She believed, and showed me by example, that true wealth is not measured by what you keep, but by what you give.

Ive often asked myself why the world feels so imbalanced. Why are some people unimaginably overprivileged while others are buried in struggle, barely making it through a day? This question doesnt go away. I remain a continuous student of this phenomenon—seeking to understand how we ended up with such glaring contrasts between those who have and those who dont.

But while the learning continues, one thing is clear: we live in a society where people need help—real help. Help to survive. Help to hope. Help to help themselves. And most importantly, help that restores dignity.

As a student of entrepreneurship, leadership, and the Word of God, I have come to believe this truth: you are not truly blessed until your blessing affects the lives of others.

This conviction gave birth to PHU – Please Help Us. Inspired by 2 Corinthians 8:7, our mission is to “excel in the grace of giving.” At PHU, we connect individuals and institutions eager to help with those in need, ensuring that every act of generosity creates impact, equality, and hope.

We believe, as 2 Corinthians 8:12 reminds us, that giving is not about what you don’t have, but about being willing to share from what you do have. Our CSR consulting, marketplace, and community events exist to make this willingness easier, more meaningful, and more impactful.

People often ask me, “How do you benefit from all this?” And my answer is simple: we are abundantly blessed so that we may bless others. As scripture assures us in 2 Corinthians 9:11: “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion.”

At PHU, our calling is to live out the grace of giving. Together with you—our partners, donors, and volunteers—we can transform lives, spread hope, and glorify God.
