PHU Terms and Conditions
For Donors and Recipients
SECTION A: Terms for Donors
As a donor or sponsor on the Please Help Us (PHU) platform, you agree to the following terms:
- Purpose of Giving
- All contributions made via PHU—whether cash, material gifts, or in-kind services—are made voluntarily and with the intention of supporting a verified charitable cause.
- PHU will direct your donation to the designated cause you selected, or reallocate it (with notice) to the nearest related category if the original need has been met or withdrawn.
- Verification and Transparency
- PHU takes every reasonable step to verify all recipients and their stated needs. However, final responsibility for donating lies with the donor.
- Donors can track their contributions and receive impact updates where possible.
- Non-Refundable Donations
- All cash or in-kind donations are final and non-refundable, unless under extreme circumstances where the platform has erred or violated internal policy.
- Public Recognition (Optional)
- Donors may choose to remain anonymous or be acknowledged publicly on PHU platforms.
- For donors seeking brand visibility, PHU (with Zeus The Agency) will engage on custom recognition campaigns if agreed in writing.
- No Solicitation Outside Platform
- Donors are discouraged from engaging directly with recipients off-platform to avoid fraud or unvetted need exposure.
- PHU will not be responsible for any losses arising from independent arrangements outside its structure.
SECTION B: Terms for Recipients (Project Owners)
By submitting a request for support on PHU, you agree to the following:
- Honesty and Documentation
- All information provided must be truthful, verifiable, and supported by documentation (e.g., medical bills, school letters, photos, IDs).
- Any attempt to mislead, falsify, or duplicate requests across multiple platforms or aliases will lead to permanent blacklisting.
- Use of Funds and Donations
- Any cash donation or gift received must be used strictly for the approved purpose stated in your application.
- PHU reserves the right to conduct post-disbursement follow-ups to confirm proper usage.
- Respect for the Donor
- While we uphold dignity for all recipients, we also ask for gratitude and professionalism in your engagement with donors and PHU staff.
- Publicly shaming, demanding, or attacking the platform or donors for unmet expectations is grounds for removal from the platform.
- No Sale of Donated Items
- Any item or material received (e.g., clothes, electronics, food) is for personal or institutional benefit only and must not be resold for cash.
- No Platform Abuse
- Beneficiaries must not apply under multiple identities, use false medical emergencies, or recycle past campaignsunder new names.
SECTION C: Cash Transfers & Gift Disbursements
- Channels of Disbursement
- PHU will transfer cash donations to verified recipients through:
- Mobile Money
- Bank Transfer
- Or directly pay vendors/service providers on their behalf
- Confirmation of Receipt
- All recipients must confirm receipt by acknowledging via message or signed form.
- In some cases, PHU may request a photo/video confirmation showing the result of the donation (e.g., receipt, medicine, schoolbooks, repairs).
- Return of Funds
- If a recipient misuses funds or does not follow terms, PHU may request partial or full refund, and revoke future access to the platform.
SECTION D: General Provisions
- PHU reserves the right to suspend or block any donor or recipient found violating the spirit or letter of these terms.
- All disputes shall first be resolved amicably, and if necessary, escalated to PHU’s Ethics & Review Committee.
- These terms may be updated periodically, and all users will be notified via official channels.
By engaging with the PHU platform, you agree to operate in good faith, transparency, and with respect for humanity.
