African Hope of Light Foundation (AHOLF) is a Uganda-based community organization born from a heart for restoring dignity, education and faith among vulnerable children and families.
Founded by Busingye Emmanuel, AHOLF works closely with friends and partners in Europe (especially Germany) to create a bridge of compassion where children once abandoned or living on the streets now find a home, hope and a future.
Rooted in the words of Matthew 5:16 and Isaiah 58:7–8, the foundation believes that “light shines brightest when shared.”
From a small home in Kasangati, Kyankima, AHOLF has grown into a safe place where children are loved, taught and equipped with skills to sustain themselves. Beyond shelter, AHOLF offers education, discipleship, counseling and community outreach turning broken stories into testimonies of transformation.

Our Story & Impact
The African Hope of Light Foundation began with a simple yet powerful act of compassion: taking children off the streets and giving them a place to belong. Today, AHOLF continues to walk with children and families in need restoring faith, nurturing talent and building self-reliance.
- Education & Schools Program
African Hope Of Light Foundation sponsors vulnerable children to return to school, ensuring they access quality education and life opportunities.
- Provides scholastic materials, food, uniforms and medical care.
- Reintegrates children into formal education.
- Mentors each child spiritually and emotionally for a holistic future.
- Community Reach-Out
The team visits nearby communities to identify children and families in crisis especially single mothers struggling to provide.
